I just noticed that the series title we show is wrong. The correct title is "Murder, She Wrote", with a comma. |
◊ 2007-03-15 03:57 |
I had written this originally as the title (with the comma) ..But I found when I entered "Murder she wrote" in a search for the series, Nothing shows up.! (Not good if anyone comes on the site looking for this series!) I think the majority of people would find the series, Without the comma |

Have been granted permission by stronghold to help make this TV show complete. Many will be unknowns, cos im still hopeless with old American cars, some may even be similar or the same to other cars on this page, that may eventually end up getting merged with other cars on this page. So will now be adding all missing episodes of Season 1 to make that season complete. Other seasons may follow depending on when i get the dvds. -- Last edit: 2010-01-30 13:10:15 |

This point is interesting, concerning the title and how it's shown. Gag Halfrunt is correct, the title is "Murder, She Wrote"--with the comma. The idea being you're supposed to pause after saying "Murder". But, many may not realize or remember this and just type it in without the comma. This is similar to the issue of "Hawaii Five-0". Many assume it really is the letter "O" in the title (because that's how it's pronounced or stated), when in reality it's actually the number "0". Most just refer to the the number 0 as letter "O". So, when looking the show up many times they can't find it as they type in the letter instead of the number...or visa-versa. Many who know the true title and try to find the show by typing in the correct number can't find anything...because the sites have mistakenly used the letter. This happened here several years ago with me, as I tried finding "5-0" by using the number, but had to end up using the letter instead. I think that issue was resolved though and you can use either now...but I might be wrong?? Anyway, I grew up watching "Murder, She Wrote" every Sunday night with my family....superb mystery, who-done-it drama!! I wish Angela Lansbury would do at least one more "M.S.W." TV movie, but the last one was in 2003 and none since. Anyway, except for the Cabot Cove's Sheriff's cars (Dodge St. Regis and Plymouth Gran Fury) and Doc Hazlett's couple Volvos, there really were no defining or "regular" cars for the show. So, it's intersting to see all these pics of different cars in all the different episodes. With 12 seasons (tying the original "Hawaii Five-0" with being the longest running crime drama until 2003 when the original "Law and Order" passed them up) there are tons of cars to study and look at. -- Last edit: 2011-02-26 05:51:34 |

mister car from 971 ◊ 2011-05-03 05:52 |
In Quebec, the series is known as "Elle écrit les meurtres", which is the exact translation of the original title. |
◊ 2011-05-03 12:24 |
It is the exact translation of "She writes murders". It should be "Le meurtre, elle l'écrivit" to be exact |

When Larry King asked Angela Lansbury if she liked the character she played on this show, one of the first points she raised was she wished the character had learned to drive. It's always bugged me too that the character didn't. I guess the creators thought it would be an eccentric quirk if the character didn't, but she's not eccentric. She's modern and practical. And she lives in rural Maine - of course she would drive! And what a missed opportunity. They could have had Jessica driving around in something vintage with lots of character. Granted, she was open to new things and needed something reliable for her constant trips, so she might have leased something new fairly frequently also. |

It is a Jaguar XJ I suppose? I don't see it in the comments of those already listed |

^ It's a mid-60s Jag with 70s police livery, slightly before the XJ6 - on what's seen, Mk2, S-Type and 420 are possible. 420 hardly ever used as a jam sandwich. Maybe best left here in comments?? |
