At first sight I'd say it's a 1955-1961 2CV AZU: it's got original indicators (on the rear sides), but still the old ribbed bonnet. Paint is not original, the rear side windows were an extra (only original on Belgian built wagons, called AZUL Week-End), the tube-bumpers are of the P.O. models ("Pays-Outremer") but in France they were common on AZUs used by Postmen. |

It looks like a long side window and therefore I would say it is a Citroën 2CV AZUL Week-End. This is a model that was designed and only (?) made in Forest near Brussles, Belgium. It was first produced in 1955. Unless someone knows about this specific vehicle we should use that as the date. |

Yes Alexander, the AZUL Week-End was only built in Forest, for some specific markets: Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Germany (a little later), Switzerland (with extra indicators on top of the front wings), Portugal, some Scandinavian countries and the US. But they had not only the long side window, also lots and lots of polished aluminium trim (hubcaps, strips everywere on the sides and on the bonnet, protection parts on the wings, thick alu bumpers etc. etc.)... |

Thanks for the info, Mike! You better check the other listed AZUL if they are real or got the long window later in life. Off the record: Are you not yet Admin? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks, Alexander! There are three AZULs registered in this site: /vehicle_15752-Citroen-2CV-AZUL-Week-End-1960.html in Sweden, /vehicle_73039-Citroen-2CV-AZUL-1956.html in Switzerland, and /vehicle_34031-Citroen-2CV-AZUL.html (falsely) in the US? (Persuaders). |

And now there is a fourth AZUL... this one here. Though I'm pretty sure it should be a AZU... |

I set it as AZU, as you suggested. Someone else obviously got confused. ![]() |
