Planes seen in the movie: Gone in 60 Seconds at IMPDb Thanks to Sandie for uploading the images there. -- Last edit: 2011-04-14 17:12:47 |

First part of my message was about Mazda dealer, where there are lots of cars but we do not see much of them (too fast, blurred, only roofs, ...) Second part was about a non-planned crash in the Cadillac dealer, as related on IMDB's trivia page, and I was suggesting that it could be the crash as shown on the picture. |

This web site missed a car. In the scence where the mustang is blocked and stopped by police in the park. Just as the mustang leaves the park, it barely misses a green AMC AMX parked on the street. The camera gets a full shot of the AMX as the mustang leaves the park. The yellow mustang (Elenor) is a 1971 Mustang fastback playing the part of a 1973 Mustang Mach 1, so technically it's both. And there's the Cadillac that spins "elenor" into the telephone pole as well. (that was actually a stunt gone bad, but Halicki liked it and kept it in the movie. Also, Halicki compressed his spine in the big jump and ended up preforming the jump twice. The first one the mustang's gas pedal jammed when it landed and the car went into a donut. They left both jumps in the movie. He walked with a limp for rest of his (r.i.p.) life 'cause of that jump. |

Beside the 1924 Rolls-Royce 40/50 h.p. 'Silver Ghost' to the left is a 1966 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III coupe. |
◊ 2008-07-22 13:47 |
Apparently the crash in the Mercedes dealership wasnt planned either, the dealers thought they were going to drive through nicely |
◊ 2008-12-01 02:37 |
for a lot of the scenes where the camera view is several feet in front of the mustang (and other cars) during the driving on road scenes the car they used to film from was a red 1971 chevy el camino!!! |

Which film (not TV series) has the highest number of captures? |
◊ 2011-04-13 20:37 |
Looks like this one is a winner: /stats.php?type=movies&subject=1&mt0=on&inc0=on&inc1=on&limit=25 |
◊ 2011-04-13 20:54 |
Thanks - now I know how to do it, I've done the same for TV series as well /stats.php?type=movies&subject=1&mt0=on&mt1=on&mt2=on&mt3=on&mt4=on&mt5=on&mt6=on&mt7=on&mt8=on&inc0=on&inc1=on&limit=25 and the winner was a surprise compared to 2nd place and some of the others. |

My personal best is 297. |
◊ 2011-04-13 21:40 |
I see a comment re the R-R Silver Ghost where the relative of the owner reckons it is 1919. That would make it an English-built one. It certainly looks later to me, although it may have been updated a bit. From this angle it is hard to tell whether the lights are American. |
◊ 2011-04-14 10:51 |
And it is not finished. But there may be some duplicate to regroup. So we'll see. |

A 40 Minute chase?!? Sounds like my kind of movie... -- Last edit: 2011-04-14 17:43:04 |
◊ 2011-04-14 17:45 |
Yes if you like chases, this is something to see |
◊ 2011-04-14 17:45 |
Finished to update this movie with DVD captures. Wow, what a big work, it took me few days Now I wait for members to help identifying cars, as there will be several to regroup, especially in the Cadillacs... |
◊ 2011-04-14 17:51 |
Excellent job, Antp At least now MaindrianPace will stop to submit small pictures for cars already listed |
◊ 2011-04-14 18:24 |
Great job antp! |
◊ 2011-04-14 19:40 |
Now that is a daunting task! Good Job Antoine |
◊ 2011-04-27 20:59 |
Antoine, was there a capture where a cadillac clipped Eleanor that spun into the lamp pole? That was a real accident involved in that scene. |
◊ 2011-05-08 20:07 |
wow 39 caddys in this movie! theres only 29 chevy and 29 fords...... |
◊ 2011-05-09 11:32 |
I still have to regroup some of the Cadillacs though @rjluna2 > it is listed on /vehicle_5767-Cadillac-Fleetwood-Eldorado-1972.html -- Last edit: 2011-05-09 11:34:10 |

Should we put the names of the cars (e.g "Beverly") to extra info? |
◊ 2014-04-02 19:47 |
@ police car fan > it would be nice if you could add the time tags to the new pics too |
◊ 2014-04-02 19:48 |
Finally, it's done. some pics aren't in HD because they weren't in the scene, or it was too dark, like that Jeep Universal. |
◊ 2014-04-03 08:36 |
@ PCF: it would be nice if you could upload HD screencaps for Grand Theft Auto, that movie needs them urgently. -- Last edit: 2014-04-03 17:44:13 (antp) |
◊ 2014-04-03 15:42 |
There's no HD version of Deadline Auto Theft that I can find. and there's no need to quote my message. |
◊ 2014-04-03 20:50 |
@police car fan > you're still adding time tags, aren't you? |
◊ 2014-04-03 21:39 |
I wasn't talking about Deadline Auto Theft, but this |
◊ 2014-04-09 17:37 |
I guess we'll never have these. I deleted a few more background ones, and validated the rest. Once identified, I'll regroup duplicates. |
◊ 2014-04-10 11:41 |
Here's one you may have not seen before - Eleanor doing a live demonstration smacking a police car, probably at Ascot Speedway: Must have been right around the end of the filming before Halicki had it painted up to promote the film. -- Last edit: 2014-04-10 11:42:48 |

Im seein this again! |

All the cars used in the movie were his personal cars from his collection, except for the Cadillac in the opening scene. It belonged to a friend of his and according to the story the engine had a few rattles when he returned it. |
◊ 2015-05-06 08:26 |
The only cars which belonged to Halicki in this film are the ones which get wrecked, with the exception of a couple of the Eldorados damaged at the Moran Cadillac dealership (they were real sale vehicles which he had to purchase afterwards). All of the stolen vehicles (apart from the Mustang and burgundy Rolls, and maybe one other) were owned by other people who loaned them for filming. Halicki however would purchase many of the same vehicles for his own collection after the success of this film. -- Last edit: 2015-05-25 15:01:31 |

I can't believe that the budget of the movie is only 150 000 $. The budget of Duel (1971) is bigger (450 000 $) and the people say that its really small (sorry for the bad English). |
◊ 2017-03-09 19:01 |
I'm looking into the list of stolen cars as previously posted and am trying to fix it up, there seems to be a few minor errors in it (with years and numbers, etc.) - early investigations seem to indicate there are a couple more cars featured in the film than the 48 listed. |
◊ 2017-03-10 16:29 |
Can anyone confirm that this appears to be the Jaguar XK150 as referred to in the film's list (as an XK1500)? |
◊ 2017-03-10 16:48 |
^ Your circled Jag looks like an E-Type/XK-E, probably S2 or maybe the S3 coupe already listed. |
◊ 2017-03-10 17:43 |
@MrTaft - The Gran Torino Squire you entered does not look like a full frame shot, was it cropped? |
◊ 2017-03-10 21:25 |
Perhaps automatically by my computer, certainly not intentionally. This is a deleted scene off the DVD release, the footage of which was in poor condition... that may have contributed to the frame size also. |
◊ 2018-02-10 05:57 |
Finally checked out the stills gallery on the DVD again which has confirmed that although the contract is for 48 cars to be stolen, at least 55 different cars are seen in the warehouse! Oh, Toby. |
◊ 2018-05-29 03:36 |
Actually theres no Proof Eleanor WAS a Mach 1. And shes actually a '71 Sportsroof with a '73 Grille Swapped in for Filming |
◊ 2019-04-25 19:07 |
With all the trouble they had with Eleanor, I'm not surprised they would have gotten extras! Or maybe they stole the extras so they could be cannibalized for spare parts. |
◊ 2020-06-19 10:38 |
This is inspirational. A movie about a car thief with a list of classic rarities to steal, hello Rockstar. |

Photo above by user 62imperial answers some questions I've had for so many years. The car as seen today, has so much more damage than as seen when exits the car wash at the films close. The mirrors, license plates, what was left of the tail lights, grille, and even the front valance are gone today. And were that way in The Junkman as well. Seeing as all that was intact at the end of the chase and even the parking lights were still working, had me question whether he did stunts to promote the film. Mystery solved, thank you |
