Connie Britton plays a 911 dispatcher, Peter Krause is the fire captain, Angela Bassett is the police sergeant, Oliver Stark is the rookie firefighter and Aisha Hinds the paramedic. Will be joined shortly by ABC's yet untitled firefighter show/Grey's Anatomy spinoff which arrives in May. Hollywood, fresh ideas! Seems to be panned by many on IMDB for being unrealistic and disrespectful to actual first responders (the rookie firefighter takes out the engines for joyrides/sexcapades twice!). The pileup was pretty ridiculous and seemed to involve about 50 cars at a city intersection. Usually pileups that large occur on highways, during fog or inclement weather which impairs sightlines, not on a clear day.

Anti-trust/Monopoly laws made the sale of the regular Fox network to Disney impossible, so it is still owned by Rupert Murdoch, but kept separate from News Corp. Disney got the movie division, the production studios and cable channels (the FX networks). Disney was also unable to takeover the regional sports networks run by Fox (FSN) and those were sold to Sinclair Broadcasting but Murdoch still holds the licensing rights to the name. I know this is different internationally, where the Fox network is wholly owned by Disney.
