A few years back, I contributed to this website, which gives you a guide to the Avengers vehicles used in season 4&5, the ones with Diana Rigg and thus my favourites. You will find the guide here: http://www.dissolute.com.au/avweb/cars.html |

There also is a Rolls (I think Phantom V) in a eps. in the later series, called ''The Fear Merchants'' which jumps with very high speed, and the guy inside is terrified, because he is afraid of high speed. So he dies of fear. Anyway, the Rolls is not listed! -- Last edit: 2006-03-30 16:53:00 |

I'm not sure what's the name of the episode, but in this eps. Emma Peel chases down a light bolt in her Elan, but she can't keep up with it, then when the lightbolt has stopped, she find's out that it was a huge lamp sticking out of a Ford GT40. Anyway, the GT40 is'nt listed! |

Diana Rigg is probably the most sexy female partner of Patrick Macnee on all the several series ... does the (non-official) story says if he had had sexual adventure with all of them? |

I've often wondered about that too! |

◊ 2010-02-26 13:08 |
"Murdersville" is the village of Aldbury in Hertfordshire, popular with movie and TV companies, and the house in the picture showing Emma Peel holding the scythe looks like Stocks House. http://www.hertfordshire-genealogy.co.uk/data/places/places-a/aldbury.htm http://www.hertfordshire-genealogy.co.uk/data/places/places-a/aldbury-stocks-house.htm |
◊ 2010-02-26 18:24 |
By the way I wonder if this nice village wasn't already the location seen in this other episode? /vehicle_282376-Austin-3-Ton-1955.html |
◊ 2010-02-26 21:52 |
I think it is; I've googled Aldbury, and the church looks like the one in the thumbnails. |
◊ 2010-02-26 23:45 |
Yes, it is. The church, houses, pub, and pond are almost unchanged today. I live only about 15 miles away. Its closeness to London and the film and TV studios, plus its secluded location makes it relatively easy to close the roads for filming means its popular. The Pub also features at the end of 'Hopscotch'. /movie.php?id=80889 Although its north of London its supposed to be on the coast of the English channel for the movie. |

There's a problem of order in episodes and in correspondances between french titles and english, since Ep.7.02. I discovered that in the Vol.5 of my DVD set (Season 7 - 1968-69) the episodes are randomly displayed on the DVDs, not following the IMDB list ! Therefore , I have to change all episode numbers on each pages of car concerned by, and will remove all the titles too... ... like if didn't have enough work to do on that serie! |
