Very nice... The wooden dashboard was only used on Slough built ID models, and of course the Safaris were also ID's, though they were called just Safari (without ID or DS). The combination of the second type front bumper and the wooden dashboard was only in 1963/64; after that the dashboard was just a mirrored version of the French model. Edit: But maybe it is better to keep the DS name as to make it easier to find these models ? -- Last edit: 2010-03-07 22:39:55 |

No, if they were called Safari without DS, then we should rename them...doesn't matter the pb of finding them...there are many case like that for others makes listed in the site. |

Given the 'B' registration, I would say that this is a 1964 car rather than a 1963. |

I have recently been made aware that the registration number AYR141B is the same as on the Safari used in The Avengers 'Murdersville'. But plainly this model has a pale blue or white roof. Does anyone have an explanation for this curious fact? |

I am surprised that this car from episode 6.07 has been included with the car from episode 7.19. The registration plates are the same but the car is plainly different having the same colour roof as other body parts. If only staff from the old Slough factory were still around it might be possible to resolve the mystery of the two vehicles! |
