It seems that the '1905' car I mentioned was a replica built here in NZ about 20 years ago using some genuine bits. It is apparently now in Portugal. The car in the Avengers was at the time at the British Heritage Collection at Syon Park and was moved with the rest of the collection to Gaydon in the 1990s(?). There are a few other surviving examples of the 1906-7 V Twin. In this model the engine and gearbox are side-by-side under the seats with final drive by chain. This model was replaced in 1907 by the larger 12/18 V twin with the engine and gearbox in line astern with shaft drive. |
