In episode 2.04 Sam becomes a girl that works at NMC, an obvious reference to GMC... |
◊ 2006-07-24 02:22 |
Was there a special reason why he only time-travelled between the 1950's & 1970's |
◊ 2006-07-24 10:09 |
not in 80s: probably because it was too close to present, as the series started in 1989 not before 50s: maybe too expensive to recreate the scenery etc.? |
◊ 2006-07-24 12:36 |
..I would have thought that there's lots of studio back lots already set up (quite easy to make a Western etc.. set in the 1890's)... and were the episodes all set in America.? (I did watch a few along time ago ... but never followed the series) |
◊ 2006-07-24 14:05 |
Yes, all in America. They cannot go to far in the past, as "Ziggy" (the computer that gives info to Al the hologram, that repeats the info to Sam) must have enough info on what happened so they can know what Sam has to do. |
◊ 2006-07-27 21:05 |
Just a note about what I said above: not all in America actually. In episode 3.02 Sam is in Vietnam, but as an american soldier that was sent there. -- Last edit: 2006-07-27 21:05:17 |

Looks to me like All but one of the motorcycles in eps 3.09 are Harley Davidsons.! (..need a expert to sort the models out.!) ...er ...Jun.! -- Last edit: 2006-08-20 01:18:06 |

Something to add: they actually explain in the series that Sam only travels in its own lifetime. The only episode set before his birth is the one when he and Al exchanged their places (and as Al is older, he could travel to earlier years). |

Also in one episode, Sam is able to leap in 1862, 91 years before his birth, because of Sam's blood relation to his leapee. He leaps into his great-grandfather, Capt. John Beckett. |

Season 4 finished. Only one season remaining (of course I will continue to watch the series, and do the 5th season in the next weeks/months) -- Last edit: 2007-06-05 00:04:35 |

In episode 5.04, one of the first appearance of Jennifer Aniston on TV: Only two years before the start of the "Friends" series, she looks quite different (not only due to the hair color), I nearly did not recognize her (well, also because the voice in the French dubbed version is quite different from her real voice and from the dubbed version of Friends). |

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow (who is not a natural blonde) all looked different (aside from being obviously younger) and less glamourous before they were famous, you have to remember that Aniston and Cox in particular have had so much expensive beauty treatment, hairstyling and possibly cosmetic surgery. |

Episode 5.15: set in London, but this time with no obvious reason of why it is outside USA. |
◊ 2007-11-18 19:47 |
Are you going to add episode 5.15? I ask because you've just done 5.16. |
◊ 2007-11-18 19:51 |
There weren't any cars in 5.15 (all scenes were "inside", probably to set it more easily in London ) -- Last edit: 2007-11-18 19:52:34 |

I see. I was hoping for a fake London on the backlot like in Murder, She Wrote. |

I have finally finished the five seasons (I still have the last episode to watch, but it did not contain cars, from what I remember). |
◊ 2017-11-24 23:33 |
Ep. 1.01 is full of aircraft. Here they are. What about others episodes ? |

Does anyone know what car was used for the future car Al was driving in Genesis part I |
◊ 2021-09-22 05:28 |
IRMacGuyver - It was likely a non-motorized prop made just for the show. Iirc the car doesn't even drive. The scene was shot with background projection in a studio. |

I found the series in HD. I could provide replacement images if that would be ok. |
◊ 2022-07-24 21:20 |
I don't see a problem? I would say you should be good to go. I don't see anyone else working on the series. |

Thank you |

Would really like a better view of that obscure Ferrari 512 conversion on 5.05 to at least confirm the whole thing is not a replica. So far my research has produced nothing specific. |
