@ Sandie: can you provide pictures for the 80 Avant 2.6E from the second series and the A6 Avant of the newer ones? |
◊ 2010-07-14 14:37 |
Yes. I'm starting Series 2 later on this week. Series 3 and 4 should become available in due course. Also I've watched the film episode 'Dance of the Scorpions' on TV and in this he drives a silver A4. It's ironic as I've just seen this comment when I looked at this page as I was planning to start Series 2! -- Last edit: 2010-07-14 14:37:50 |

Series Two completed Scrapyard from 2.08 A very short not particularly exciting boat chase from the same episode |
◊ 2010-08-02 17:11 |
Nice scrapyard thumbs - 1st one has a few interesting ones: 2 green Capri 3s, a yellow limited edition run-out Talbot Avenger, very late Maxi 2 with rubber bumpers, Peugeot 305 estate, plus ordinary Golf, Nissan Sunny and Mk3 Escort. In 2nd thumb TCF676Y comes up on DVLA as a 1397cc Renault (11?) with 1994 date of liability, and there's an Ital. Intriguing white sporty thing glimpsed in top right corner. Various stuff in 3rd thumb - what's the big white saloon in top left? |
◊ 2010-08-02 23:03 |
TCF676Y lists as Renault 9 Big white saloon -looks like Honda Accord 2nd gen - but boot seems too big - probably imported Nissan/Toyota luxobarge |

Just found that the pilot episode is listed as a separate movie on IMDb ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0280208/ ). Even more strangely is that 4.09 was listed as a separate movie but isn't any more. |

Many scrapyard-pics are worth for closer looks! And some cars are worth an own page. As the - Peugeot 304 Break - Morris Ital - Wartburg Knight |
◊ 2010-12-22 20:04 |
Or isn't the brown car in the right foreground of the third thumbnail a Wartburg? The back door looks like that, but now the shape of the trunk-hood irritated me. |
◊ 2010-12-22 23:40 |
No, The brown car in the right foreground of the third thumbnail is a Mazda 626. |

Series Four and Five opening titles Series Four completed. 4.09 is a strange case. It is not really part of Series Four (shown months later and all the main characters changed cars). It comes with the as yet unreleased Series Five DVDs. I'll make captures for those once the DVDs are available in a few months time. Aircraft from this series: http://www.impdb.org/index.php?title=Wycliffe with additional caps to be added on the IMPDb forum. -- Last edit: 2010-12-27 15:44:31 |

Too background cars for which I did not make pages. 4.03 - Honda Civic Shuttle, Volvo 440 and a Honda Accord(?) 4.04 - Anyone know what this is? I'm thinking Yugo or Zastava 4.05 - A Kit Car which isn't well seen. I think Marlin Roadster. 4.06 - Massey Ferguson tractors 4.07 - BMW Z3, Bike 4.08 - Citroen XM... Plate number M616EWK visible under the Audi in second thumb |

Or maybe a late Fiat 128? |

Tidying up this page in preparation for completion. Anything else that hasn't got a page that is worth it? |

Series 5 Completed. And that is the lot: In 4.09 we have Philip Glenister playing Gene Hunt ten years early: (Dirty Den from EastEnders also appeared in this ep as a villain) Some boats from the same episode where the wreck scene shows that TV budgets only stretch so far: I always liked the theme music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2zGo0x81sE Extended version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvtbcDnjO5s -- Last edit: 2011-04-07 01:47:54 |

Indeed and IMO it was a pretty decent series with nice Cornish scenery. |
