About the pics of Pontiac, Lincoln, Chevrolet & Cadillac : For different models it would maybe have been better to make one picture for each model, since now we cannot list the model names in the site (for searches etc.) If it makes too many car, maybe only most interesting or most important ones should be included... |
◊ 2005-11-22 02:06 |
With Lincoln..I believe they are all Continentals & with Cadillac all fleetwoods(?) ...so could be catagorized. Pontiac & Chevrolet are a different matter.! ...but who is to say what is the more interesting & more important cars.?? (it's all down to individual opinions & choices.!) I tried to give an overview of whats in the movie.(If anyone checks "Gumball Rally" ...at least they can see what Chev's & Pontiacs were in it) |
◊ 2005-11-22 07:00 |
Sorry, but all Cadillacs are NOT "Fleetwoods". The "Fleetwood" name is reserved for models at the top end of the range (e.g. pre-WW2 "Series 60 Special" from 1938 up, and most of the large 7-pass. sedans and limousines from circa 1925; post WW-2, again - but not exclusively - the "Sixty Special" and "Series 75" models, plus the Eldorados, Broughams, Talismans, etc.) |
◊ 2005-11-22 10:10 |
I refer to the Cadillacs in this movie being 'Fleetwood' types ...NOT ALL Cadillacs in general.! I'm not a Cadillac expert ..but have owned a Seville (1982-83 Bustleback) & know of the De-ville,Eldorado etc... -- Last edit: 2005-11-22 10:13:13 |

Yes, that was a Ford Ranchero - the blue oval's Chevy El Camino equivalent - muscle pick-up |

I've have lost the count but around 60 news vehicles (in post with 205 pics http://forum.imcdb.org/forum_topic-4493-29015.html#p29015 ) added today 'Courtesy' of user typhlosion. To see and check them, change "Display Options: Dated Added (new ones first)" Note to myself:     (the smiley isn't going well) Note to typhlosion: in pages previously listed look for quality, not for quantity. It's better a clear ID than a discussion with a little/far/obstructed or common (usual) cars in the site -- Last edit: 2009-03-04 14:02:24 |
◊ 2009-03-04 20:56 |
I would say, only list cars/pictures with good quality. Despite the work, I think it's the only way to do it. |

gumball rally is my favorite movie ever and the 1966 ac cobra is my favorite car ever. nice picks of the movie. |
◊ 2011-04-03 19:15 |
Just watched this on TV this afternoon and although there's some good car action and stunts I did get a bit bored (it should have been shorter than 105 mins), it is a fairly dated film and the humour is a bit corny. |

@Mike962 - Are you planning on replacing all the exisiting pics? You should send a zip file to antp instead if that is the case for 136 cars. -- Last edit: 2019-03-24 22:36:28 |

I rather do it the old fashion way but to make it easier given so many entries I will do it in 3 parts of 30 min each of the movie the admin can swap the new pics then I continue to next part , would that be alright ? -- Last edit: 2019-03-24 22:44:06 |

(1975-1976). - The Getaway (1972). - Fear Is The Key (1972). - Charley Varrick (1973). |

why the ending was somewhat flawed ! the Ferrari started 10 seconds ahead of Cobra , so they needed to finish at least 10 seconds ahead of Cobra to win, side by side wouldn't cut it but this aspect was ignored guess for dramatic reasons ![]() still one of the very best car action movies ever made -- Last edit: 2024-07-26 00:33:32 |
