The "fuzzy" front grille on the black car (upper photo) belongs to a 1967 Cadillac sedan (not enough detail to determine the precise style number). The even more "fuzzy" blue sedan (or coupe) looks to be a Cadillac of 1969-70 vintage. The last one (orange-copper color) looks like 1978 vintage. |

I've just had a quick check through some books & the orange-copper coloured car is most likely a deville from 1975-76 (...it would have alot of trouble being a 1978 car...in a 1976 movie.!) |

If the movie was made in '76, then you're right, it can't be a '78 model. I had to pull out the catalogs on this one. It seems to be the full-sized 1974 model, with an "egg-crate" grille that is 4 rows (high) by 16 rows (wide), with almost square grille openings. The park and turn signal lamps wrap wround the sides and front of the car and the "see-through", standup crest (minus wreath) was featured only on the DeVille d'Elegance models. |

Yes, the burnt orange Cadillac is a 1974 model : http://www.100megsfree4.com/cadillac/cad1970/1974/cdv74a.jpg -- Last edit: 2006-10-17 08:37:25 |

The 1974 Cadillac seems to lack the standard front shoulder belts so it's probably one of those equipped with the first airbags. It looks like a DeVille or Calais 4 door hardtop. Also note the stand-up hood ornament and the lack of the standard emblem above the grille. |

Plus, the 1975 and later full-size Cadillacs all had rectangular headlamps. |
