Hi Sandie, these pictures are from the episode 'The Raider' which is 9.17. Found a few of the episodes on Youtube, sadly not great quality, but will add some more from other episodes, surprised there is not more added as there is 12 series. |

Being looking at these on net. Quite enjoyable well played Police dramas in a now vanished early 70s England which I remember well, where knife crime was almost unheard of. Carrying knives was thought of as cowardly and underhand by villains and public alike. Going to add a lot of vehicles although quality not great on some entries . A treat for Ford and Hillman fans with some quite odd 'Police' vehicles driven by main characters. Strange series for Police cars as apart from first two series ( where real Police cars appear to be used) the Police only used unmarked cars even for normal uniform patrols and chases . Mainly Ford MK111 Cortina XL's ( usually in bright red ! ) but also plain Marina / Avenger / Hunter's. Most of the plain 3 star saloons listed are Police cars. The detectives cars also odd, in later series Capri's and top of the range Ford estate cars. The few marked Police cars (seen only in minor roles) look like genuine Police service cars. Maybe hiring and marking up a car or two with Police signs was beyond the budget ! Or were there stricter filming rules on pretend Police cars back in those days. -- Last edit: 2023-07-23 19:50:28 |
