I'll add the whole series from time to time. There are 3 different IMDB for this, but I'll group them together. Since they were suppposed to have one instead.

tractors have just one seat in the middle, not a double seat configuration :o so they simply animated it for the plot

andrepa wrote another aproach could be color back in the 50ies they all had their own color to identify and so this is a Fergie Ferguson approximately trapezoid grille :)

rather generic drawing

had discovered that animated series in 1980 Spring, when was on air for the 1st time into my geographic area(Southern Italy)on a locally private TV-network

However, apart amazing stunts, that's historically-talking,the 1st cartoon in the world that shown true branded-vehicles (together with fantasy ones, sometimes hybrid-shaped)

PS:in Italy exists also a website devoted to the series,www.lupinthe3rd.com.it

mike962 wrote this might be generic too

if it's intended as snow-cat they made a big mistake, real snow cat vehicles have very wide tracks for better weight distribution and here it's not animated so

petep wrote Looks quite a bit like the front half of a BV 206, however you can't just use the Front half as it needs the trailer to steer :/

/vehicles_make-H%E4gglunds_model-Bv+206.html

mike962 wrote Petep

this was animated in 1971, that vehicle did exist until 1974
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandvagn_206

also nearly none of those early snow-cat did have a full screen , just split screen liek the Thiokol series or the Bombardier ones

and I think it was intended as a snow-cat as it's in snow and has Christie type wheels as track chassis

petep wrote I guess it isn't a BV 206 then

Do you mean this little guy mike962?

/vehicles_make-Thiokol_model-Spryte.html

mike962 wrote you can try here, prospect of of those old snow-cats but none fits
http://www.safetyoneinc.com/specsheets/lmc.html

petep wrote I see what you mean these are similar too

/vehicles_make-LMC_model-1200C+ST.html

But it doesn't fit exactly either.

mike962 wrote LMC took over Thiokol

LMC didn't exist in 71 either, I think the vehicle is generic

I was thinking perhaps something similar of the M548 military carriers
Link to "s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com"

but those are usually amphbious and this one doesn't look like it it's amphibious either

petep wrote A Japaneese SM40S is pretty close,

http://polaris.nipr.ac.jp/~academy/jiten/kiti/03-3.html

But I'm inclined to agree it is generic

mike962 wrote front window doesn't match, again a split screen , urgh

urgh frankly I can't think of any 60s snow-cat which had a a single piece windshield

petep wrote Looking at the reflection it could have a split screen but the central bar would be pretty thin. I don't think we're going to hit an exact match this time.

You're a lot better on your snow mobiles than me. :)

mike962 wrote I go with made for movie or put in comments,

it's just like with tractors, they made fundamental errors in animation
/vehicle_938337.html

petep wrote I think a Nodwell RN21 is the closest but still way off.

I used to love this show when I was little. It was really cool to see realistic cars in a cartoon compared to the generic cars in most cartoons.

It's been a long time I updated this. Having trouble finding the high quality copy, took quite long to get them complete.
