it also uses a lot CGI transition panels in 80s style graphics thru it and some 80s music

oh wow.. i totally forgot about that cartoon ! ( i think it was aired in Teletoon's first years here but i'm not sure at all.. )

yes, if you watch it then play at 1.5x speed

interesting the woman who played the translator ( which of course was really a KGB agent) is really a russian actress

Then what's next? They were inside the movie and asked themselves where the hell are we. And then a character from a movie says to them "Silly fools, you're in this friggin' movie! Where else could you guys be, Burger King!?!"

Huh, interesting 'cause I've heard mostly positive reviews about the movie (I haven't watched it yet so I can't say anything for myself.).
