HOORAY!Finally comes one of my favourite East-Europe played TV series(had seen it in Italy only once,in 1981)!!!

PS In Italy was on air uncomplete(never seen episodes of 4th and 5th season, here)and in Italian-dubbed version title chosen was"Codice 07 Varsavia"(=Warszawa Code 07)

This is a big suprise for me that it was known in Italy. :D
Well the episodes made beetween 1976 and 1981 are the best, the seasons 4th and 5th, realised in aboslutly horrible times of the 1980's aren't as good as the previous ones.
BTW. 07... reminds a 007, but actually it was a real code for Warsaws undercover militamans. :D

They had inspired me in 1986 an unissued action comics drawn by myself(had put in it many Fiat and Polskies!)

In that series love overall the chase of "Milicja"125p inside a garage, recall me like many chase of same kind seen in US or German("Cobra 11",e.g.)TV-series

The info about comics is really interesting. :king: Do you still have those drawings? ;)
This chase is in ep 1.04, which I've listed, but belive me that after many years is a bit dissapointing.

Must be why I had associed always the image of 125p when skids sharply or jumps with that of rallies or stunt-cars circus ones(being RWD,ideal for those shows;sure the ones of serial fits a tuned or replaced engine--maybe the 1.8 litre DOHC of 132p,like the rally-spec 125p?)

PS BTW,Weasel1984,my comic where appears Polskies and other Polish-made vehicles was elsewhere in an angle of my house;confess that will be likeable for me to show you some pages of it with chases(how can send it on the site???...scan,and then???...);awaiting if that thing could be feasible, could list what Polish-made(and non)vehicles were depicted in it,to give you an idea of my job inspired to that series:

--125p(overall"Milicja"-liveried)
--Polonez(of "Milicja")
--Zùk(background vehicle)
--126-650 FSM(of main character)
--Jelcz 315(logging truck)
--Nysa M-522

--plus those other vehicles,in sparse order:Simca 1000,Citroen DS 21,Mercedes LP 1113,Fiat 124 Sport Coupè 1800 '72,Zastava 1100p,Alfa 33,Alfa 75(both of Italian"Polizia"),Fiat Argenta 1600(CD-plate),Fiat 500

datsunZ, I also would enjoy seeing the comics. It would probably be better to start a new topic on the forum and post the scans or pictures there rather then posting them here. You can use http://imageshack.us/ to upload the pictures. There is a topic on the forum (contributions - how you can submit pictures) that will give directions for posting them. You can get to the forum by clicking the link at the top of each page.

Thanks Datsun, yes it would be good to post them on the forum like wrenchhead has said, but anyway even if you won't find them it is still an interesting story. :)
About the brown 125p used by Borevitch (the main character), I think, it was standard 1500, actually everything what he did with this car is possible with such engine, plus car was used only in one/first 'season' so they rather didn't make some radical changes in it.

I had supposed even the use of true FSO tester-drivers as stunt doubles and a little cooperation of FSO Racing Team(OBRSO)for eventual engine tuning of scene's 125p,given the fact that FSO at times when played series, was the bigger Motor Make of entire Poland.

It could be a stuntman from moto-rodeo (a kind of circus as you have said) :D , in some PL movies from that era in credits is an information "in movie starred stuntman from moto-rodeo" :D , even without his surname.

Exhaustive as always,Weasel,thanks

PS 1 Had scroll series cast of actors/actress on IMDB link and had find credited a certain Marek Varisella as "Driver"...but him was the same Varisella of official Polski-Fiat rally team of Seventies'???...

PS 2 When on air in Italy in 1981 was during Summer,on RAI 2 State Broadcasting Network's 2nd channel, around 18.00 PM;seems were on air at least 4 or 5 episodes of 1st season, then programming got a break and later replaced by another TV-series,without claim why the series was interrupted(had guessed that RAI-TV don't manage to bought all episodes played until that period,so will renounce at programmation--even for low audience's rates--of that interesting series, one of few arrived in Italy from Poland)

OT-PS 3 In the same period, but end of 1981-beginning of 1982,was on air another Polish-played TV-series in Italy,of which the starring was a taxist that droves a dark Volga M 24 for service in Warszawa(title chosen in Italy was"Taxista a Varsavia=Taxist in Warszawa, don't knew what was original title in Poland),and all that I recall on that series was:

--the Volga's taxist was a man called Rafael Kostron in the role played
--seems that him was coinvolved in a murder, for error
--recall that police chases an old VW Beetle that get rollovered in a scene
--recall a 125p with big "M.O."letters painted on doors(what means that acronym,Weasel?)

In end, you,Weasel, succeed to understand of what series I'm talking by those few infos?...thanks in advance!!!

Yes, indeed, I didn't check this, he has the same name, surname and played the driver so it must be the same Varisella. :D

Seems that series which you mentioned Datsun was a 'S.O.S.' from 1974.
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0172051/
http://www.filmweb.pl/S.+O.+S.+(1974)+o+filmie,Film,id=35922
However there are some differences, there was a Volga taxi and charachter Kostroń, but he wasn't a driver, he was a Radio reporter which daughter was kidnapped. The last episodes of this series were set at the coast and the bad guy tried to escape in motorboat to Sweden or Denmark??? :D I don't remember more, I've seen it only once, 10 years ago.

MO = Milicja Obywatelska (~civil militia force) later on cars was just 'Milicja'.
