when I worked at a Ferrari dealership in East Setauket. Grand Prix S.S.R. mid 1980's . long island n.y. we actually were prepping a few cars for the real race... one a black 308 with the biggest extra fuel tank up front, with a switchboard so you can turn the taillights off and turn on huge front driving lights, an older benz 4 door with a police scanner in the glove box, from what I remember it was an "invitation only" event, all you needed was money and to be somehow connected with the right people! |
