◊ 2007-01-28 04:39 |
Also, a 2005 Mustang is supposed to be one of the antagonists. |
◊ 2007-01-28 04:48 |
Yes, to be more specific it will be a Saleen Mustang. I think it’s name will be "Barricade" or "Bonecrusher"; not sure which. |

Heres an updated list but it may change. I even included characters that aren't cars and trucks in their vehicle form. Theres 2 Decepticons, Frenzy and Scorponok, who aren't any kind of vehicle. Frenzy is a 2-speaker CD player and Scorponok is a giant mechanical scorpion. Optimus prime - Kenworth W900 (he even appears to be a kenworth in the video game trailer) Bumblebee - 1970's Chevrolet Camaro and then a 2009 chevrolet camaro Ironhide - Gmc Topkick Pickup Jazz - Pontiac Solstice Ratchet - Modified H2 Ambulance, I don't know if it will be a 2007 model like it says in the message by Neptune. Here are the Decepticons Megatron - Custom Jet Starscream - F22 Raptor Blackout - Sikorsky MH-53 Heavy-lift Helicopter Barricade - Modified Saleen S281 Mustang Brawl - Modified M1 Abrams tank Bone Crusher - Buffalo H Mine Protected Vehicle |

So this one will not be a animated movie?? |
◊ 2007-06-15 04:26 |
Surprisingly no. In addition, the robots look genuinley intimidating. It almost makes me less likely to write it off. |
◊ 2007-06-15 04:52 |
I get the feeling that GM is sponsoring this movie |

Why not add in following times,an apposite page with frames taken by 1st"historic"1985'toon TV-series???... Just for comparision, here you the Autorobot vehicles that appears into that series(also reproduced in model cars made by Takara/Hasbro,1/43 abt.);unhappy, don't recall all the original names of the Autorobots in which they are converted --1978 Lamborghini Countach LP 500 S(red) --1979 Nissan 280 ZX Highway Patrol(black-white) --1979 Nissan 280 ZX IMSA (red-white-blue--livery retakes that of US-team "Bob Sharp Racing"of the times) --1980 Nissan Vanette Ambulance(white with a red cross) --1980 Ligier JS 11 F.1 "MATRA-GITANES"(white-blue) --19?? Mitsubishi Jeep J-3(with howitzer or cannon,olive-green) --1977 Kenworth K-100 or Peterbilt COE(red-in the Italian dubbing of 'toon renamed Commander or Convoy--this late name was used overall on toy ones) --19??VW 1303 "Super Bug"(yellow--in the Italian dubbing of 'toon renamed Maggiolino--popular way to nickname the Beetle) --19?? Fuso(or Hino)F.D.Ladder forward control cab Truck 6x4(red) --19?? Fuso(or Hino)Heavy Crane forward control cab Truck 6x4(yellow almost-orange) --1980 Toyota Hilux with hardtop(black with stripes decals on sides) --1977 Porsche 935 IMSA(white with red-blue stripes) --1976 Lancia Stratos "Alitalia"(white with red-green stripes) --1976 Ferrari BB 512(red-black) --1983 Honda City Hyper Turbo(dark blue--don't recall if was used into'toon, but had seen 20 years ago for sale the model miniature) In end, some infos how was born'toon TV-series: the Transformers are born around 1984,when into toy shops will appear those strange vehicles(overall cars) convertables in fighting robots;'cause were developed initially in Japan by the giant toy Firm Takara, initially the models line will include almost reproductions of Japanese motor vehicles overall, but if into 1st catalogue line were included some European cars and a typical US-cabover tractor truck; In 1985,the US-toy Firm Hasbro, tied to Takara, will co-produces with the aid of Japanese animation studio Toei Animation(those that had realized e.g.,Golion,a 1980 SF TV-'toon,renamed later in USA as Voltron)the 1st'toon TV-series(in Japan titled"Tatakae!Chorobot Seimetai Transformers=Fight,Autorobot Transformers Team!)that was a success also in USA(the series was practically a TV-commercial to promote the sale of characters in toy form, given that Takara and Hasbro had sponsored the TV-series--normally happens viceversa,i.e.,before born the'toon, and then the dedicated toys made for merchandising); In following years, vehicles were realized without claim the model from which real one was inspiration for that,so recent Transformers'toon TV-series had got vehicles(and merchandising toys)with an own personality, but recalling less or nothing some inspiration with a true, existing motor vehicle,so the 1st'toon series remains a one at its own Today, all merchandising tied to 1st 1985'toon TV-series are collectible ones(I own some US-comics of Eighties' inspired at'toons)and "cult gadgets" PS Memories by an enthousiast of SF 'toons and relative merchandising...sigh!!! -- Last edit: 2007-06-19 23:44:11 |

I still have the Radio/Cassette player guy with the Cassettes that turn into birds, the Lamborghini and the one that was an ambulance. I always wanted the 280zx guy...they're all stashed with my old GI Joes from when i was a kid. |

I preserve in a corner of my home still a dark blue cab truck with the shapes of a Freightliner cabover tractor(becomes the feet of robot, when cab came splitted in two)that tows a grey simil-Fruehauf with bogie-axles box-trailer(when splitted and pieces turns of 60°,becoming the torso and the arms of the robot);on the trailer sides appears Transformers'logo, but don't knew if was a "good"or"evil"robot(scale was 1/87 circa),sure was an Eighties'one |

I just saw it today, and was pleasantly surprised by the mixture of action and comedy.Seemed like an advert for GM at certain points, but ultimately a good summer popcorn film. Also visible in the background: -2004 Pontiac GTO- Two were destroyed during the city fight - AM General HMMWV- Present throughout the introduction at the base - LMTV 2.5 ton truck (also at the army base) -Cadillac DTS (in the city fight scene) -2007 Cadillac Escalade -2006 Lexus IS (in the city scene) -Ford Crown Victoria (numerous taxi cabs during the city fight) |

I took the kids to see Transformers today, and of course they liked it, I did too. It was a good film with great acting and flawless special-effects, I highly recommend it. |
◊ 2007-07-13 02:37 |
yeah where's the cop mustang? |
◊ 2007-07-14 07:39 |
I just saw the movie, it is very good, and I highly recommend it There's certainly a lot of cars in the movie, but only a few worth of five stars. Also, it was pretty obvious this movie was sponsored by GM as all major vehicles in the movie were GM's (with the exception of the Peterbilt and the Police Mustang). And there were a lot of Crown Victorias in this movie, just about representing every year from 1995-2002. |

Saw the film today - good action movie but disappointing chase scenes The transformations must have been hideously complicated to construct though. |

Très bon film! Belle carrosserie a tout points de vue (ahh Megan Fox....). Bon effets spéciaux aussi. |

◊ 2007-09-23 22:04 |
Well, it is same quality as most of the images taken from divx. DVD quality is a little higher (10% wider image and a little more sharp) |
◊ 2007-09-23 22:38 |
Ok, here's what I did. I changed the star rating of the "Transformer" vehicles. With the exception of the 2 Camaros and the Saleen (as it was the main villain in the movie, as far as screen time went) most of the other Transformers should deserve only 4 stars as the would fill the "important role" criteria of the 4 stars. The rest aren't nearly seen as much as the Camaro and Mustang, so they should deserve less. I think that "background" Transformers such as the Solstice and the Buffalo MPCV deserve only 3 stars, but I left the Pontiac at 4 in case anybody has any objections. |
◊ 2007-09-23 22:45 |
I did not see the movie but indeed there were too much 5-star vehicles I think. The movie is about transformers, OK, but only main "characters" should get the 5-star rating (as what you gave, I guess?) -- Last edit: 2007-09-23 22:45:38 |

The front bumpers on this truck and Ratchet (Hummer H2) were provided by Road Armor, The same company that made the front bumpers seen on the Dodge Rams in "2 Fast 2 Furious." This company makes big bumpers! http://www.roadarmor.com/ |

Done! I added few missing vehicles too. The Cadillac dealer from where the Solstice comes: That scene made me laugh A red car, not enough visible I guess (visible for 1/10th sec). Chevrolet Corvette? A living XBOX 360 |

I remember that scene with the game console, but at the time I didn’t know what is was. I thought it was a Computer or something. |

The red car looks like a 90's Mazda RX-7. In fact, I have a toy car of a 90's Corvette that I will take a pic of soon. By the way, I call the living XBOX 360 XBOT 360. See my comment in the Caddy Escalade page. -- Last edit: 2008-02-14 16:11:14 (antp) |

@camry - Almost everything you submitted was too small. Vehicles need to be larger than 90px per 720px wide capture. Since most of the captures you submitted were 960px wide, that would mean the vehicles would need to be at least 120px. The boxes below should give you a point of reference of what size the cars need to be: |
