Nice job once again Karoomay. |

silver wagon looks boring Toyota, tan sedan I can't decide between Volvo 144 or Subaru (but doubt if either are worth an effort), red coupe looks a Vega-based clone from elsewhere in the GM stable - whatever Buick/Olds/Pontiac version. No idea if that makes it worth pursuing. |
◊ 2012-11-04 10:57 |
The "tan Sedan" is a 1974 Volvo 144. |

Silver wagon: Don't know the wagon, but the green coupe is a relatively rare 1970 Plymouth Sport Satellite (by the rocker trim and the C-shaped chrome trim on the faux rear fender vent) |
◊ 2012-11-04 21:11 |
The thumbnail with Porsche and VW Beetle: The VW Beetle is the 1967 version due to federally mandated back-up light. |

Silver Wagon looks pretty rare.I was thinking it ma be a Datsun due to the fender.I thought it was a vent of some sort. However, Datsuns DID have a name badge in that spot so it could be that.I think most Toyotas had smaller, round side mirrors.I won't rule out Mazda either but the fender marking doesnt seem to match. Red car might be a Pontiac Astre but is most likely a vega. |

The silver wagon is a 1971-72 Toyota Corolla |

Loved the crashes in the begining...its funny when this movie first came out it was cool crash ups.. now I say..oh man! These cars are worth some money!! But thats how it always is....saw it last nite and even the not so desireable cars are worth somethin!!! |

Well, back in '84, they were considered to be disposable junkers. |

Does anyone on here believe that Beverly Hills Cop looked and felt more like a PG-13 film? |

Good job karoomay, one of my favorite Eddie Murphy movies. |

You're four years late with that comment. |
◊ 2016-04-18 16:46 |
I guess that means I'm 32 years late in appreciating the movie itself, then. |
◊ 2016-04-18 17:18 |
It's never too late to appreciate anything, besides shlc647 has only been using the site for about a year. |

The opening chase interests me. /vehicle_18551-GMC-Astro-95-1980.html In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it inspired half of Gone in 60 Seconds 2 (1989). /vehicle_47183-International-Harvester-Transtar-II-1974.html -- Last edit: 2016-04-18 18:44:34 |

(related to karoomay's previous comment) I have learned more about cars on the site than what I originally knew when I joined (again apologies for being frequently wrong back then) as time goes on I guess I learn more. |
◊ 2016-04-18 20:02 |
Well that's how you learn and get better. Me and Lateef were pretty naive when we first joined the site in 2008 before we eventually expanded our knowledge over time. |
◊ 2016-04-18 21:31 |
That sounds like me. |
◊ 2016-04-18 21:42 |
I was a bit naive too, I think. It's no real problem when you learn from others here over time. |

if Michael Bay (or his imitators) was directing every car the truck rammed would have exploded https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiuBWPKHTPA |

@robi - Avoid posting pictures of vehicles that are seen for an extremely short time (for example: can only be seen in a frame by frame advance of the movie). Do not post very small pictures of background vehicles (note: 90 pixels wide for a 720 pixels image is about the limit for useful pictures of most background cars). |
◊ 2019-08-15 03:27 |
Not to mention that I had already posted most of the images of the cars that were too background in the movie comments. |

a NEW REMASTER print is out but frankly it looks worse than the curent one compare with some color timing tinkering and bit overblown contrast current -- Last edit: 2020-01-28 10:12:38 |

I wanna have one of those cars and the famous beverly hills cop jacket and recreate the entire look. |

◊ 2024-07-05 01:36 |
Why is the movie's origin say USSR? |
◊ 2024-07-05 01:37 |
USSR is right near USA in the drop down menu. Some admin probably hastily changed it and didn't verify their change. |
