As Q-Ball said, they were aiming for a stylised, timeless atmosphere so that the film wouldn't look dated. |

AND it was directed by the same guy who did "Gattaca". That Avanti may in fact be the same prop. |

Gotta say - ridiculous film, but possibly one of the all-time best casting of vehicles in a film. Ever. |
