1961+ S1. Customised so detailing confused (but swb so not S3), or maybe even replica. -- Last edit: 2011-12-13 19:22:05 |

CGI crash: (I guess so, since it looked rather fake) |

Scale model I think rather than CGI. Is that the LA River for the crash? Just how many movies has that appeared in. |

I think it's amazing that even today they still use scale models. I like it, often with CGI they don't get the motion physics to look right and there is just something about scale model FX I find very fascinating. -- Last edit: 2012-03-04 06:16:21 |

Also, with scale models it is more often correctly integrated in the background; lights, shadows, etc. are correct. |

Could someone give me more info? It's such a beautiful vehicle but I can't find anything online that looks like it. Is it a replica? |

It's not a replica, it's a customized '69. The car was up on Ebay for a bit, but it didn't make the reserve. Here is a link that gives the whole story: http://www.xkedata.com/cars/detail/?car=1R8763 -- Last edit: 2012-07-10 21:22:29 |

Kinda sad that they took such a nice car, then dubbed over the engine with some strange turbine or electric motor sound, and finally (probably) totalled it. |
