About the Italian plates I'm not sure, but the DDR-plates are definitely fakes. Size and font don't fit.

No, size and font perfectly fits (only plate i found is here: /vehicle_864283-UAZ-469-B-1980.html). The Trabant has a plate with 1976+ design. Before 1976 plates were smaller and had a different font. IB is also the correct designation for Berlin.

Sorry, Purzel89, but the plates are definitely not authentic DDR. Nor the plate is original, neither the font. Definitely not :o These movie-faked plates here are looking, if they were made with old Czechoslovakian tools.
Sorry, that I'm that strict, but I'm a plate-collector since over 40 years, specialised on German plates ;) If you are interested in more about that topic, your are welcome to visit us: http://pl8s.biz/

This film also featured coloured archival footage of the German Wehrmacht Forces and the archival photos of the experiments conducted by the Nazis on the Jewish prisoners during World War II.
