First one as "AMC-Renault" Sportwagon, calls for renaming more. Or simply as Renault 18 Break? |

This was filmed in Canada. Was the same name used there? |

Pretty sure it was "18i Sportwagon" in Canada, as opposed to "18 Break"... |

Sportwagon only ( no 18i as it was for sedan only and sales starting in 1981 |

Others are listed as 18i Sportwagon and it seems advertised that way too: http://www.bambootrading.com/1800/1817.jpg |

looks like i missed something in my book. looks like its 1984-1986 that they were called Sportwagon but sales in NA still starting in 1981 ( wikipedia also call them Sportwagon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_18#U.S._market . to be honest, its been a while since the last one i saw ( and might be a while until the next one i'll see ). we'll keep the 18i Sportwagon then but has to be a 1981 http://articles.mcall.com/1985-10-19/news/2502965_1_amc-wagon-seats -- Last edit: 2015-05-23 17:39:34 |

I guess that they dropped the 18i part later, I also found an ad for "Renault Sportwagon" indeed... |

yeah, i know that poor Renault is starting to think that i'm picking on it but i saw a lot of request for changes.... what about changing 1979 for 1981 ? |

They started off as "18i", then when the sedan was dropped, the wagon became "Sportwagon" in 1984. 1982 AMC/Renault brochure: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" -- Last edit: 2015-05-29 00:56:56 |
