And, it seems like it would be a good idea to have a Chevy Bel Air when the show is The Fresh Prince of BEL AIR. To me, the Plymouth is closest. |

Really hard to see, but I'd vote for the Bel Air. |

It's a 51 or 52 Chevrolet. There's a scene in the opening credits where you can see the front end a little better, but it's been a while since I seen the show so I can't remember the exact year, 51 and 52 are very similar though. |

It's a 1950, best view I could come up with is at 43 seconds (listen for "When it came near, [PAUSE]"). Youtube intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYVKOjPQ1IM 1950 Styleline Deluxe http://www.automotivehistoryonline.com/1950%20Chevrolet%20Styleline%20Deluxe.jpg 51's have turning lamps below the head lamps, 50's appear to be mounted inboard on the horizontal grille divider bar. -- Last edit: 2008-06-25 01:40:30 |

You're right roadmaster, I should have known it was a '50 but it's been awhile. That was a good show in it's day too:) |

The license plate on this car was "FRESH" as seen on screen whats funny is FRESH has been on a GMC Sierra, Jeep Wrangler and now a Honda Civic. ![]() -- Last edit: 2009-10-15 20:35:19 |

It looks nothing like a Checker. Anyone have a better picture? |
◊ 2012-07-03 20:28 |
Yeah cause don't Checkers have quad headlights? |
◊ 2013-09-27 06:34 |
The A9, A10, A11 and A12 had quad headlights, but the A8 had dual headlights. However, the body and front end look nothing like any Checker ever produced. -- Last edit: 2013-09-27 06:35:02 |
