I have no idea what it is but I could guess that it is a hearse based on a 1958 Plymouth? |

Yes... 'unknown' is exactly the right term for this one! You see a typical Portuguese funeral vehicle of the 1960s - and their style is as fascinating as mysterious, because only the coachbuilder knows what donor cars (besides the late 1950s Mopar fintail carriers) have been used to build it. Even worse is, that the coachbuilder is probably the only one who knows his own name. Don't you hate this? Endlich habe ich dieses Ding gefunden. Leider konnte ich bis heute nicht herausfinden was es genau für ein Fahrzeug ist. Die Basis für den Leichenwagen bildet ziemlich sicher ein Plymouth Fury von 1957. Bis zur Gürtellinie bzw. Fensterkante ist das Fahrzeug an den Seiten, am Heck und an der Front identisch mit dem Plymouth. Den Plymouth kennt man übrigens aus Steven Kings / John Carpenders "Christine". |
