wickey ◊ 2008-07-30 20:17	probably (I hope!) for the crash scene they used just regular Mustang Fastback. But in the road-scenes it looks like a Shelby.
antp ◊ 2008-07-30 22:36	The pics are quite small, but the one that does the jump does not seem to have the holes between doors and rear wheel arches. Also it seems to have a full-lenght yellow line where the GT350 one has a "350" label at the beginning of the line.

Cpt Tuttle ◊ 2009-12-30 14:38	When watching the crash scene in slow-mo, one can notice that tha smashed car only has the shelbys extra window in the C-pillar on the drivers side... In the early 90s, I guess that a regular mustang fastback, especially if it was a rusty 6-banger or something like that, weren't anything special at all in the US...

Saw the movie in the winter of 66 with my dad and grandfather in Burlingame Hyatt theater,I was only 4 years old when I saw the movie and I still remember that car being in the movie because we drove from South San Francisco to the theater in that same car. Now here is where it gets weird, They only made 1001. They only made 85 4 speeds ours was a 4 speed, research is still out on how many of them had metal hoods, some historians say as many as 200, ours had a metal hood, most had traction bars ours had over riders making this particular shelby pretty rare on top of the fact they are rare cars to begin with. And I am talking like I don't have the car anymore but I do, my father gave it to me when I was 18 and I have it in my garage downstairs, I am a lucky guy!!
