 It's a second-facelift Mk3, apparently known to some as the Mk5. On IMCDb we use the former system. If we are to list Transits according to facelifts, then this would be a Mk8 instead of a Mk5...

No Again your wrong there was a mk3 facelift called the MK4 which had a slightly different grill to the mk3 and then in 94 the mk5 was made with a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT front end and it was nicknamed the "smiley" down to the new smiley face grill believe me when it comes to transits i know what im talking about!

depending if restyling are counted as different mk, the number varies
here the current one is listed as mk5, wikipedia seems to mention only four generations
