They should both be listed as at least a 2000 model. There is no known cosmetic difference between the LeSabre’s 2000 through 2005 production run, other than wheel styles. At the present time, Buicks’ production line does not include the LeSabre, as it has been discontinued. The only vehicles Buick is currently producing are the Rainier, Terraza, Rendezvous, LaCrosse and Lucerne.

Also, it is unclear at this point as to what General Motors has planned for it’s Buick division. There have been persistent rumors that state GM has seriously considered terminating it’s Buick division as well as a few others, most notably including it’s truck brand known as GMC, for various reasons.

Actually there is one small difference between 2000-2002 and 2003-2005 LeSabres. The '00-'02 models have a LeSabre badge on each rear fender, from '03 on the badge is on the rear of the car instead of both rear fenders. A sly cost saving measure perhaps.

When I was on holiday in America in 2001 we rented a Buick LeSabre Custom (a trim level), and that had badges on the sides next to the taillights, and I've wondered why some of the post-2000 LeSabres on this site don't have have those badges.

The car in the main picture has a plate that I deciphered as 73T-Y41 which comes back as a 2005 LeSabre Custom on Carfax.
