1998. |

This is actually a very early production 1999. That's when this design came out. |

pre-production model, like Rigg's Seirra |

This was more of a three-star vehicle, only used in the Freeway scene. |
◊ 2007-09-26 00:13 |
That was a quite major scene, hence the 4 stars that I gave it. Like chase vehicles of Ronin and other big chases. -- Last edit: 2007-09-26 00:14:00 |

Indeed, but that was a major chase... so I hesitate -- Last edit: 2009-10-31 11:50:04 |

A very new car (at the time) to be destroyed! |

One of the cars used in the chase scene, sitting inside Warner Brothers Movie World as of 2006. ![]() |

Neptune..the one you posted a pic of from WB studios looks like it was repainted..you can see white under the chipping paint on the front bumper and white paint under where the body cladding was on the front fender as well as various other spots..damage also doesn't really match up with some of the other still frames from the movie..they must have had several of these cars, probably couldn't get every one of them in silver since they were pre production models. |

Cannot be a 1999 model. Since the movies was made is 1998, it's a 1998 model or older. Cannot be a 1999. Also it's a shame they destroyed it. Why did they have to destroy such a nice car? By the way I like this Pontiac better than any other Pontiac. That's the best Pontiac for me. I like this Pontiac the best with Vibe right behind. |

This model came out for the 1999 model year. |
◊ 2014-04-08 04:33 |
More specifically, it came out in the late spring of 1998 as an early 1999 model (according to Wikipedia) and this car was probably a pre production model. |

Sadly, no one cares. And as former owner of such a nice car once says to me, it was a terrible clunker after all. -- Last edit: 2014-04-08 10:55:23 |

I would give it three stars because it was only used in a car chase scene. And it's a shame they destroyed it. It was such a nice car. Why did they have to destroy it? -- Last edit: 2015-04-30 16:53:48 |

An entertaining and fun chase. |

Film was filmed January-May 1998, so why should it be a pre-production model? I've found some online that have April 98 production dates, so we know that it was in serial production at that time. (I hate to end a twelve-year discussion) -- Last edit: 2018-06-18 16:04:50 |

So...maybe it's not a pre-production? |
◊ 2018-07-03 10:40 |
... or maybe it is? The pre-production models have to be scrapped anyway, while it makes little to no sense for the producers to buy a brand new production car only to have it destroyed. |

Even if pre-production or not, the trim is SE. GT used a different rear badge. |
