imdb does not give locations, but many elements in and around Birmingham and Warwickshire. |

The village is called Stonelea (I guess that is meant to be either Stone or Stonnall) and the nearest town is called Lichford Famous Birmingham landmark in the background here: -- Last edit: 2011-09-11 17:48:34 |

Oh my aching sides! Better add Staffordshire to the locations then. As for the famous Brummie icon, the Bull Ring has vanished now, though the Rotunda survives. |

Sandie - any idea where the JBA factory was in 1990? I can find references to Standish near Wigan and Norwich but these seem more recent. As JBA was started by 3 ex-BL workers I guess it would have been near Birmingham. Stonelea could have been Stoneleigh, just south of Coventry. |

I'm sure they were based in the Wigan/Manchester area for most of their existence. There was an article some time ago in one of the Kit Car mags about the cars used in the show I'll see what I can dig out. The company shut down about five years ago but someone has restarted it and re-engineered the car for BMW E36 and E46 mechanicals. |

The JBA Factory address was JBA Engineering Ltd Unit 56b Bradley Hall Trading Estate, Standish, Wigan with a move to 39b in 2004. Village Stonelea I would suggest it takes the name from Stoneleigh near Coventry which holds the National Kit Car show the biggest Kitcar show in the UK on the first Sunday and Monday in May. This year Sunday May 1st and Monday 2nd May 2011. Douglas Factory location I believe was the old Velocette factory in Hall Green Birmingham. Thank you for your help with the forum and photos Sandy. -- Last edit: 2011-04-08 10:11:26 |

@Bruich - thanks for info on where the Douglas factory was filmed. That has bugged me since I saw the series, because I was convinced it was a proper factory but never knew which. |
