Has this one anything to do with the Gloria from 1999? |
◊ 2007-10-02 23:56 |
I think there is a link, though I haven't seen the 99' film. Both have John Cassavette as writer... but 1999's is not on its own realization, but from Sidney Lumet... |

Is there a chase in this one as well? |

Too many Checkers posted, no? |
◊ 2007-10-03 00:38 |
That's what I was going to say... what is the interest of listing these separately? They are all the same color and seem identical except some stickers. |

There are several *** , then they deserve there own pages . |

Not really,... but only an accident (I'll post it later) |

Wow even all the Checkers (bunch of them)in the movie DC Cab ( /movie_85387-DC-Cab.html )didn't get their own pages and the whole movie was about them. ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-10-03 02:20:17 |

Of course there is a link. The 1999 film is a remake of this one, a sad thing because "Gloria" was such a perfect movie, in his own way, that it should never have been remade. |

Maybe, but being all identical I do not see the interest of that (usually when "identical" cars get their own page they are not the same color and do not have the same role... here they are all yellow taxis) |

I deleted the page of the "mystery Cadillac not in movie" as it was indeed from the other Gloria movie: /vehicle_23446-Cadillac-Sedan-DeVille-1972.html |

This is part of the film, Gena Rowlands is in the run all during the film..she uses many transports, taxi, bus and metro... more over , pictures of theses cabs are nice, and that's a tribute to the cineast too ![]() ![]() |

That does not change anything to my opinion ![]() (*)useless in term of site listing/contents as they represent the same model and have the same aspect, so the visitor would have find it both using Checkers listing or using movie listing. -- Last edit: 2007-10-03 15:41:49 |

![]() Excellent film! ... I wonder if Walter Selles's film "Central do Brazil" has been inspired by this story?... (a little boy and a woman in her fifties)... Play of Gena Rowlands is still amazing ! ... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Nice pics of NYC ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I like all these 1970's US cars, the last era of genuine american style in car design in my opinion ... I hope that except our usual never-ending grumpies about background cars ![]() ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-10-03 16:10:29 |
