This is an EXCELLENT film, I'd say the most gritty, realistic and gray crime flick of the 1970s. It was about time the DVD came out! Also the best impersonation of the true Boston accent ever done, by the late, great Robert Mitchum! No one else comes close to doing that accent so right. |

Does anyone know what kind of car Aritie Van (Joe Santos) drives? It’s the car that Coyle (Mitchum) places the guns into the trunk early in the film. It looks like it’s most likely a late sixties GM sedan. |

One of my favorite childhood films. Rest in Peace Robert Mitchum and Peter Yates (The same guy who made the legendary and iconic car-chase-starter Bullitt [1968]). |
