I didn't find an exact match for this example, but I think it's a cigarette vending machine. Sometimes they had mirrors so you could check your hair/makeup, and as long as you're here you may as well buy a cigarette and see how cool you look when you light up.

Thanks! :) I'd never heard of that brand, I didn't recognize the logo.

Discovered there was also a Beech-Nut chewing tobacco, made by a completely different company. :p
