DidierF ◊ 2015-02-11 14:57	Je pourrais vous dire que c'est la troisième mouture près celles de 1926 (Gastyne) et Epstein (1934) d'un roman bien oublié du très-oublié Pierre Benoit, qu'on y trouve de jolies vues des beautés archéologiques du Liban, ou des plans sur le trafic urbain de Beyrouth, (tiens, deux petites anglaises à droite, là, que j'aurais bien aimé, enfin, bref), mais ce film crépusculaire de Richard Pottier, avec Jean-Claude Pascal, Gianna-Maria Canale, Jean Servais, Omar Sharif, Juliette Gréco, Luciana Paluzzi (devenue blonde, pouah !), Robert Dalban (en chef de la police de Beyrouth !) et Aïché Nana est… même pas un film fatigant, mais un film fatigué. Rien n'y est fait pour nous donner à croire ne serait-ce qu'une minute à l'intérêt de tout ça, ou au moins à la vraisemblance de… 'tain mais Jean-Claude Pascal, quoi ! Je ne sais pas, moi, mais Jean Marais, quand il roule un patin à Michèle Morgan ou Alida Valli, on y croit. Ici, il y a à peu près autant de tension sexuelle palpable entre Canale et Pascal (qui est beau, indéniablement) qu'entre, disons, une boîte en carton vide et un buisson poussiéreux. À éviter absolument, danger de narcolepsie. Allez, pour les p'tits gars de IMPDb.org, un… un Tiger Moth ? A tired movie, tired before the beginning, it seems. Nothing to look for, here; avoid it.
