there is a 1965 ford mustang fastback in the beginning if the movie |
◊ 2006-02-15 01:06 |
I think that the cars in the original are more interesting. |
◊ 2006-02-15 10:20 |
It's different Except the Prius and maybe the Saab, the cars of the remake are quite common of course. |
◊ 2006-02-15 21:13 |
Yes, but I remember when the original movie was made the cars that were seen were quite common. I think that getting old just means that the common cars we loved when we were young are now wonderful classics. -- Last edit: 2012-10-11 19:15:10 (G-MANN) |

Ya, when the origenal came out everybody probably didn't think they were special. I think that there were a lot of awsoome cars in this one. The Plymouth Voyager kicks ass and the Jeep Comanche is quite rare. The Hyundai Sonata, Ford Mustang and Austin FX4 were also interesting. |

anyway this makes me laugh in a cinema - why the hell have the guy a V8 in the kitchen, as he has a garage + (even better) who the hell brings the V8 about 10 steps upstairs to the house??!! |
◊ 2006-07-05 00:52 |
Actually I think it is a Peterbilt. |
◊ 2006-07-05 07:51 |
Good point about bringing it upstairs, but if I recall the garage wasn't that big to begin with. |

http://youtube.com/watch?v=I-xf181km1M I have a challenge. Can anybody identify the vehicle in Ray's (Tom Cruise) garage as he exits the Mustang? The headlights or taillights seem very small. |
◊ 2007-08-23 20:57 |
The tanker that gets blown off the bridge is a Peterbilt 379. The Tractor in the scene where the guy gets his guts sucked out is a Ford 3000. The militart vehicle which Ray steals the grenades is an AM-General HMMWV |

its another mustang in the garage, u can see the mustang badge in the middle of the grill when cruse is getting out of the other mustang |
◊ 2007-11-21 09:21 |
I think there is another Mustang in this film. blue and burnt except for a little bit of the back. in plane crash scene in front of houses. saw it at Universal studioes. |
◊ 2007-11-21 09:35 |
I have a picture of that one: http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/2687/2634286060012909314uhmwmu3.jpg Link is to picture...I don't know how to make thumbs on here. It's a V6 Mustang with a strange-looking aftermarket body kit. |
◊ 2007-11-21 09:49 |

◊ 2007-12-21 01:42 |
I just got the DVD today, I will watch it in the near future to see if I can find anymore cars. |
◊ 2008-02-24 18:31 |
I think that MB C-Klasse deserves to be listed |
◊ 2008-02-24 18:33 |
I agree. I noticed the Mercedes right away when I saw that scene. |
tom11 ◊ 2012-03-21 14:57 |
I think thats a Peterbilt as well, the cab looks more like Peterbilt than Western Star. |
◊ 2015-06-22 18:12 |
The plane crash in the film is a set a Universal Studios Hollywood. I went there in 2010. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYGWG2_PB_Q Anyone have any ideas of the background cars in here? I saw someone trying to start their Subaru, to no avail. 0:11 |
◊ 2016-03-07 02:20 |
Anyone have an idea of the car that nearly drowns Cruise (no pun intended)? I'm sure its a late 80s early 90s Chrysler or Dodge, either a LaBaron, New Yorker, Imperial, or Dynasty. It's the one where Cruise and his family get treated to the lovely scene of innocent people pounding on the windows as they drown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMw_xOuU9DA -- Last edit: 2016-03-07 02:21:22 |

◊ 2017-01-22 18:48 |
