Excellent series. Filmed in Birmingham - the derelict fire station used in eps 4 & 5 is the old Aston depot (as in district of Birmingham with a football team - nothing to do with the car) which I had a tour of once when I was a kid - full of big shiny red things then. |

I really liked it too (though at times the Jag product placement was a bit obvious). Even I recognised some of the Birmingham locations. Pic of the Fire Station (I took the cap as I was curious if it was the same station used in the first ep of Boon): Amusingly in 1.05 they are driving through the Queensway Tunnel and it takes them an age to get through the tunnel, However, in reality it is really short : A "Subaru" seen on CCTV footage: Toy Ford Capri (Vanguards model?): |

The plastic box of the Vanguard-toy looks quite Minichamps-like. Probably made in the same Chinese factory |

Series 2 and 3 done. I'd recommend this series, each series is better than the last. These ones were filmed in Northern Ireland (so a lot of faked mainland plates and visible NI plates on background cars). Something part seen in 3.04: Corsa E? -- Last edit: 2016-05-11 02:19:24 |

Indeed. I saw series 3 and now I'd like to catch up with the first two ones. Maybe a Peugeot, with a big mouth like that ? -- Last edit: 2016-05-11 11:59:48 |

Not the same. Anyone who has tried to unscrew a Vanguards scale model from its plastic base can tell you it's definitely not like Minichamps. |

Season 5 is under way in the UK. This time, number plates look really fake. Also, DS Arnott is still a DS, but he has upgraded to a new Volvo S90. -- Last edit: 2019-04-07 22:27:51 |

It's an E-Class [W213]. Newer Mercedes cars aren't common with the police here, I suspect it is this one owned by Mercedes that has been trialed by a few UK police forces: https://twitter.com/ThamesVP/status/1037058672977960960?s=20 A similar car was used in this show: /movie_7217374-Hidden.html |

Sport Relief 2020, small skit that doesn't count but worth mention it's /vehicle_1417732-Vauxhall-Insignia-2016.html Note that this first time since S1 one they use a common prop from the England. Mostly likely the tv footage was filmed in England and the police station was in usual Ireland set as has been since s2 i believe |
