This 1950s educational film by Riviera Productions is presented by the El Paso Fire Department and the El Paso Association of Insurance Agents looks at the different work that firefighters do. It begins with the rigorous training that fire fighters go through. This is followed by some of the jobs they do beginning with more informal things like helping cats off trees and people that have gotten stuck. The other jobs besides firefighting include ambulance services and conducting inspections of buildings to ensure fire safety.

 I see a '53 Chevrolet Bel Air and a '53 Buick in these images, so the film date is 1953 and not 1950.
