 You mean "in a very small part" You could say background part or character, but "play" doesn't make sense in that sentence.

I'm sorry but that still isn't quite right. It should be "As a background character." Actually "background" implies that he's only an extra with no lines (which doesn't look like the case there). Just write "And in a very small role" ;) Sorry about this, it's just when you wrote "And in a very small play" I almost didn't understand what you meant. Also I thought "Why's he linking to that Mercury Sable in There's Something About Mary?" because in that poor quality image you can barely tell it's Ben Stiller. The thumbnail you posted does that job already. :D

 G-Mann I wanted to use 'background' in a way of play on words with the site (background= 1[*]) The link only is for the users that have not recognized Ben Stiller and "There's Something About Mary" is one of his most well known movies.

 I wish this movie was on DVD. I remember watching it as a kid, and a couple months ago I caught the very middle on TV... I'd love to watch it all the way through again!
