This picture is from a trailer for the movie. The cream/yellow colored car with a black hood scoop located second from the right in this picture appears to be a Dodge or a Plymouth, most likely from 1968-1972. You can also find the black 1970 Dodge Charger second from front, and what appears to be either the primer gray 1970 Chevelle, possibly a 1971-72 Oldsmobile Cutlass/4-4-2, or may even be a larger-bodied car. The bumper appears strange in the photo and may prove it's not a Chevelle or Cutlass. It's hard to tell from the photo but I'd assume it's most likely around a 1970-72 GM.![]() -- Last edit: 2009-01-26 19:28:53 |

Couldn't they have thought of a more original title? At the studio board meeting, did one of them say "I know, let's just remove "The" from the title of the first film!" Probably has more-or-less the same plot from the first film as well. -- Last edit: 2009-03-26 18:58:38 |

In all these Fast and the Furious movies, they trash a nice classic in ALL of them. This '72 Torino GT joins the '70 Charger, '70 Chevelle, '69 Camaro, '70 Challenger, '68 Mustang, '70 Monte Carlo, and '86 Grand National. The producer's say they're car fans, but that probably means fans of little clapped out rice burners with too many stickers and no guts. |

Wat means Kaizo's Kit Car ? I can see Normal Skyline's Gauge in the Blue Skyline GT-R ... And i also can see the Skyline GT-R's front lips is disappear at some scenes ... |

I'm just the opposite. I don't care how many modern cars they destroy, since by virtue of being modern they're still being produced. 1960s-vintage cars, on the other hand, are irreplaceable pieces of history. |

Excluding actors I agree with you, no matter how a car hits another in Hollywood it'll ALWAYS roll over, and even tire blow-outs are ridiculous as they can make big heavy police cars do barrel rools in the air! The blurred pictures are just shaky cameras which nearly EVERY dang director uses which pretty much ruins so many shots because you can barely see a darn thing! I try to avoid modern car chases because of these cliches, I can't stand unoriginal chases that I can't see and throw away credibility. |
◊ 2009-06-30 04:52 |
I strongly agree Choocv. It was barely possible to get a good look at the Charger police car in the new Taking of Pelham 1,2,3. with the damn camera jumping up and down and sideways. And the Charger was extemely damaged in it's short amount of time on the screen. It would have been nice if the could have slowed down the speed to show the destruction. In contrast, the vehicles in the new Transformers movie were beautifully filmed with a non shaky camera. Plenty of time to check them out. Including the strking Audi R8. -- Last edit: 2009-06-30 04:53:54 |

Yeah, I've gone off movies like this. Wrecking '71 Cadillacs and Chevelle SS's is just stupidity, no matter what decade it is. If they're gonna wreck cars, atleast wreck "newer" more common cars, that you don't have to pay an arm and a leg to insure and get the parts for. |

while I agree classic cars shouldn't be destroyed, it's kinda funny everyone here that's kind of complaining about the one or two 1970 dodge chargers that got destroyed in this movie, and the reason this is funny about the wrecked charger specifically is because, well.. when I was a kid we used to watch this little show all the time, maybe you kids have heard of it, it was called the dukes of hazzard. and, well, that show was all about destroying dodge chargers. I mean in the story it was supposed to be one car getting wrecked and fixed back up again all the time, but in reality an average of over 2 per episode were destroyed. in 145 episodes they destroyed 304 different 1969 dodge chargers. that's a fact. there were 329 of them total. 17 survived, the rest were wrecked on the show over the years and scrapped. the producers had to run non-stop classified ads in the papers looking to buy used 1969 chargers from people from 1979-85. so, uh, yeah.. put that in your tailpipe and smoke it folks. |
◊ 2015-08-18 00:00 |
Dude, I feel ya... I couldn't care less about those ugly-ass rice burners, yet the producers seem to exclusively or almost exclusively trash the muscle cars in every installment instead of the Asian crap. As a western-car enthousiast, I hate the Fast & Furious franchise for this! And I think they should have used (without destroying) more exotics too, especially Italians, and maybe a Koenigsegg here and a Bugatti there. |

I disagree, I believe the franchise is still running strong; there is still racing (not as much as the first three), it's keeping carsploitation alive, a great cast (even though I will always miss Paul Walker) and they're all a lot of fun. If there was one squeal I thought was inferior, it would be Tokyo Drift. |
◊ 2017-06-28 18:57 |
If i ever make a movie, I'm gonna have a chase scene which dozens of classic vehicles being chased by people in modern cars. By the end, all the modern cars will be destroyed while all the classics will have survived (like a '72 Caddy landing on and completely crushing a Crown Vic Police). |
◊ 2019-07-04 07:50 |
I'm probably in the minority, but I really like this movie. I know a lot of people hate this movie because of how it has muscle cars that crash and explode, and I don't know what to explain to them. Personally, I liked it because of its continuation of what was established in the first movie and how it builds up the fifth movie. I'm probably gonna get a lot of flak for this, aren't I? |

So, I have this idea about a young wheelman that pulls off courier work for organized thugs and crime lords, as well as moonlight as a street racer on the side I am also making this project animated, so I don't have to worry about wrecking any real world cars. After all, you can't really destroy a classic on a piece of paper (then again, I wouldn't really have muscle cars crashing to be a primary focus) and It'll be a throwback to chase movies of the 70's but with a modern twist. And if you'd like, I'm open for suggestions. |
◊ 2020-08-13 09:39 |
Without a doubt this is the best fast and furious movie most people wont agree, but I like the way it combined more of the older fast and furious style into it with the tuner cars and the race with the chevelle and the skyline at night, it had just the right amount of action and wasnt too crazy compared to the new ones, it also had a good opening scene with the tanker and ending scene when they are going to rescue Dom from the prison bus, It was also the last one with an actual plot in my opinion it got way to crazy after this as many people have said before, fast and furious 4 is the one I always recommend people watch as its often forgotten about and a hidden gem in the franchise. |
