Product placement and to sponsore something is almost the same, if they sponsore the series they obviously put the cars on the screen so the audience can see them. |

I guess it's more like a stereotype to see Cadillacs (together with BMWs and Mercedes-benzes) together with the wives of football players... (at least in Holland: expensive, but somehow lack of class). |

Much the same in the UK ... also Hummers, Escalades, Navigators. But regrettably our players are so well paid they're buying really class cars like Bentleys, Ferraris and Aston Martins. Mind you, I don't know if they let their wives/girlfriends drive them  |
