A really good series, shame it never had a series 2, obviously was low budget, which adds to its charm, John Thaw was great in it, I would give it 8 out of 10, well worth buying the DVD, its fairly cheap on Amazon or on the Network DVD site. The black Granada and black Rover SD1 are both on plates from other cars. There were some cars that were impossible to get a good capture of. |

Very good series - some excellent roles, dialogue, humour and scripts - exploring many contemporary issues in more depth than usual for this sort of drama. Bits: - older Minor van in ep1 - 2* only seen as interior in ep3 ... door fixtures look BL - Marina or Allegro?? - but seat pattern reminded me of Rootes-jewel such as an Avenger edition... - one for imPetrolPricedb - one for imAncientComputersdb - and some for im1970sCoatsdb -- Last edit: 2016-10-16 23:07:16 |

@sixcyl - you've identified the helicopter as from Alan Mann Helicopters. That's the same Alan Mann whose racing team ran lots of Fords (Cortinas, Escort Twin Cams, Falcons etc) in late 1960s - usually in distinctive red and gold livery - /vehicle.php?id=204630 , /vehicle.php?id=4839 , /vehicle_204631-Ford-Escort-Twin-Cam-1968.html and probably others. |
