Series I not Series II. Like this one: http://www.jaguarclassifieds.org.uk/files/03-2014/ad2118/large_139583372713445918.JPG |

Feb 71 reflectors below rear lights. The badge on left of numberplate is unusual on an XJ6 - presumably says Jaguar - and confusing because it's normally a Daimler fitting saying Sovereign. |

Follows the hearse from the airport, then parks up, and a later glimpse. I think there's only one car but it is a confused mongrel: - Jaguar features: boot plinth, side badge on lower edge of front wing (not fitted on Sovereign) - Daimler features: front grille, script badge on left side of number plate (Sovereigns had them, but only some XJ6s and not sure which/why), hubcaps look more like bigger central D logo than small Jaguar head. So ID as originally entered for Sovereign is equally credible as current entry as XJ6. Fake plate is dead end for info - LDP 900 only came with L or M during Series I period, but nothing found. |
