Wow, looks like a real US spec 2CV by the teardrop indicators! Trunk is of the true French style with three moldings (earlier US 2CVs came from Belgium, which had plain steel trunks while French 2CVs still only had cloth covers instead) which makes it a 1958-60 AZLP, and headlights are of the sealed beam "ogling" type as well. (On that note, we should decide on the site whether to use AZLM or AZLP, both names used for the same car. What a great find! There can't have been many US-spec 2CVs to begin with, much less surviving as I'm sure quite a few were scrapped or re-exported. Most of the 2CVs over here are later imports from Europe. |
