That's a Suburban, Yukon is shorter. |

The biggest most powerful SUV, (at the time) so you don't mess with it. With the 255 horsepower Vortec V8 and the Autotrac 4WD, it could push (anything) around you need it to!!!!!! -- Last edit: 2006-02-28 05:34:54 |

From Ford_Guy: This was the Suburban used by the bad guys. Note the 1997-1999 dash: When the Chinese men in the Suburban are out-witted by Riggs at the train crossing, their damaged Suburban turns into an older 1994 model (based on the interior): A similar one (or the same one) was seen trying to escape the final shootout: -- Last edit: 2012-01-02 09:57:48 (Ford_Guy) |

antp: I dont think that's the same Suburban since the one shown pushing the car on the railroad tracks later meets a similar demise. easy mistake though if you havent seen the movie. |

I thought GMC Suburban rebadges were Yukon XLs? Thats what they are today at least. |

They were Suburbans up until 2000 When they were renamed Yukon XL |

As I said, "another", not "the same"... |

I hate the Yukon XL name, they should have just kept calling them a Suburban. Yukon XL sounds like some sort of arctic underwear. |

Yea I think there was as many as three Suburbans in that movie that look very much the same. |

I like these GMT400 models before they were changed for the 2000. How do you rate these up against the models of Yukon, Suburban and Denali from 2000-today? |

Well I like the older ones better myself. However I do have to say the technology upgrades and sound systems by Boise are amazing. I am not a fan of the smaller engines which do produce more power but the five speed trans does not get it to the ground quick enough. I feel my 1998 four speed with the 5.7 is much quicker off the line and in merging that the newer five speed with a 5.3. Now the Denali had the 6.0 and now the 6.2 so she gets around very nicely even with a boat in tow. |

[GMT425]. I guess it is a 1997 by the steering wheel? |

This one has a normal tailgate, while the other one has two doors instead of a tailgate, so I created a new page for it. -- Last edit: 2020-09-02 16:33:15 |
