I note they've avoided displaying a registration plate. As I recall there was at least one replica of B340 built on a Ford R1014 chassis in 1974 - I'd be guessing about this one though. |

An AEC B-type Replica then (not using the solid tyres). A picture from 1913 of a B-type bus from the Transport for London website (showing the same advertisement as in the thumbnail). |

But it's not a B-type; it's not even an AEC. As I said it's most likely a Ford. http://www.20thcenturylondon.org.uk/server.php?show=ConMediaFile.5498 is a photograph of the real B340 in preservation - note the position of the registration plate. ....the bus I was thinking of is used at the Motor Museum in Beaulieu - it's built on a Ford R1014 chassis, but I don't think it's the one in the film. Here's a photograph: http://www.diekneite-paderborn.de/England-2005/slides/Beaulieu-Bus.html -- Last edit: 2007-03-20 21:43:16 |

Hence the "replica", no? |

The two replica buses used in the movie have bodies different to the Beaulieu bus. The chassis could be different also since the front overhang, shown by the radiator position compared to the front wheels, is not the same. So it's not possible in my opinion to say it has a Ford chassis. -- Last edit: 2007-03-21 00:19:38 |

I went to Beaulieu recently and they claim the bus there is the one built for this movie |
