its virtually impossible to tell a '68 from a '69 from a picture that small. |

Whats up people "that prolly wont ever look this car up so will never see this" anyway funny thing is that I bought this car from a friend of a friend. And its actually a 71'. Its pretty cool though all sprayed up with bullet holes. It was cool bringing it home everybody on the road was asking "Where'd you come from?" I'd tell em "Man, I had to get out of there quick, I almost didnt make it." I had to pull like "no lie" 50lbs of wire out of it from all the pyrotechnics. I'm going to put this back on the road as soon as I can. Just putting some work into it 1st - posi, better engine, new door, new fender(which i'm gonna take to the range or in the woods and put some holes in it to match the rest of the body) oh and also have to attempt to weld in a new rocker panel ps door from when it got hit. So I got some work to do. Hopefully i'll get some pictures up so all the many intrested people looking this car up will get to see some progress on it |

Wow... that car's pretty beat up You might wanna change those 427 badges if you're putting a 383 in it :-D Congrats on getting a bad ass movie car |

So I got to work a little on her. Took the 307 and tranny out cut the rocker panel out and fabbed up my own even though I have two parts cars out there but mine looks better and its solid. So welded it in and put knew door on and fender and everything lines up pretty good. Shit I had to take the hydraulic cam off my cherry picker and wedge it from the driverside to the other just to put the doorjamb in place, then welded it. And by golly i think it worked cause now we got a fully functioning door "fuckin A". Couple little tweaks and she'll be ready for the heart. I had the rearend ready to go, I found the posi unit and bought some gears, but the pinion gear is smaller then my old one so it wont work so I'll have to wait on the rear. Slowly but Surely. She'll ride the streets again oh yes she will ride the streets again. -- Last edit: 2008-09-30 05:19:04 |

Actaully the Ferrari did get shot in the inside when Martin Lawrence shoots the dashboard and it's hit on the outside at at it's headlights. .....wonder how much it would cost to get a ferrari like that repaired cause i know it's sure cost ALOT to get it fixed. |

Okay wait... how do quote shit on this? "Shit I had to take the hydraulic cam off my cherry picker and wedge it from the driverside to the other just to put the doorjamb in place, then welded it. And by golly i think it worked cause now we got a fully functioning door" You welded a camshaft into the car's structure? That's a fucking retarded repair. |
◊ 2009-03-24 10:03 |
1. Mind your attitude, please. 2. You use the "quote" feature. 3. He wedged the cam in to hold the doorjamb in place, then welded it ("it," meaning the doorjamb). On an unrelated note, since it's pretty well proven that deebo DOES in fact own this car and claims it's a 1971, shouldn't the listing be updated to 1971 Nova? Furthermore, since it's a 307 car, it's not a real SS either. Perhaps, "1971 Chevrolet Nova (modified as 1968 SS)?" -- Last edit: 2009-03-24 10:06:24 |

But your post was an example on where the quote feature should not be used (i.e. not useful) -- Last edit: 2009-03-24 18:05:21 |

You mean quoting the post directly above mine? In that case, you did it, too. |
◊ 2009-03-24 22:53 |
I just quoted a part, as it was useful to show to what I replied You quoted the whole post, which is useless since it is the same as what is just above yours. It would have been different if you kept only the 1st line in his post, for example (as I guess it was a reply to that ) -- Last edit: 2009-03-24 22:54:27 |

Well, technically I was replying to his entire post, not just one line. But in that case, I shouldn't have used the "quote" system at all. Noted for future reference. -- Last edit: 2009-03-24 23:06:44 |

Great work, deebo, you're my hero! Shame those retards smash up more classics than anyone has time to fix (Fast and Furious 4, anyone?)... Orange w/ black stripes looks cool on the Nova, by the way. |

Well I'm taking a lot longer than I thought I would but it's going. Got the rear put together and installed. Welded all the bullshit holes (interior not the bullets) inside from all the pyrotechnics. Going through the brakes and then...finally I'm doing the block...dammit! Kids, work, women, when do I get me time. I hope in another 2 weeks I'm dropping in the heart. Thanks for the comments. Oh and the door works great with the new cam I welded to it..fucking retard. I got an idea--Read, Comprehend, then Type. |
