00-26-48 L'avant est abimé lors de la poursuite au début du film. Tout au début elle a encore le même look qu'à la fin du premier épisode. |

How about 5 stars? |
◊ 2006-01-17 14:10 |
It is not used so much in the movie actually, it was more important in the first movie than the second. -- Last edit: 2006-01-17 14:10:18 |

Anyway it still XB GT |
◊ 2006-02-06 23:39 |
Because it's same car, year of make is 1973. |

The car has XC headlights though, probably to suite the square lights of the knocked off spoiler. Not a real supercharger either...XCs didn't come out with bonnet pins (not sure about the cobra though) -- Last edit: 2006-05-23 19:01:04 |

If you have any doubts about this car use www.madmaxmovies.com |

actually the car was used here more than in Mad Max - I will give it in first movie also only 4 stars... |
◊ 2006-08-03 00:56 |
Even if it is not used that much, the Mad Max car in the 1st movie is quite famous. That counts too for a car... That's why I gave it 5 stars in 1st movie It is like Bond's Aston Martin... -- Last edit: 2006-08-03 00:57:09 |

ok, ok.. But when I look at it from the point of KITTs view - I mean that car deserves 5 stars - whole series is about it.. I thought the car must be part of the movie for that.. But the parallel with Bonds Aston is right.. Then we should give it also here 5 stars |

If you wish... that 5-star rating is very annoying, it is always a subject of discussion |
explorer4x4 ◊ 2006-08-03 01:10 |
It seems simple, 5-stars means the movie/show is ABOUT the car; Christine. 4-stars is for like the Western Star in Maximum Overdrive, vey important, but the movie isn't about it. |
◊ 2006-08-03 10:48 |
Well, 5 stars was for that, but also for cars that were very popular, like Starsky & Hutch's Ford Torino. |

the car is a Ford XB gt hardtop i know cause im a big madmax fan and in australia we have heaps of replicas of the interceptor |
◊ 2007-01-31 08:47 |
Have you ever seen one with true on/off style blower? It is a Toyota aircon compressor, but it is a cast-iron-bitch to fit and run. There is supposed to be a functioning replica in sweden, but i have never seen it. Gave up on my own project, and fitted a Vortech blower! ;-) |

They used two Ford Falcon XB coupe for this filming. One got destroyed and the original kept intact. |

What a great and iconic car SPOILER i just cried when it was crashed |
◊ 2009-10-07 00:12 |
The original Interceptor was not crashed. The stand-in did as shown at http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/madmax2/Wrecks/index.html . The real one is at http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/mad-max-interceptor/history3.html . |

"The last of the V8 Interceptors..."-Mechanic. It really sucks it blew up |

Half of me thinks that Max retrieves the basic frame of the car and sticks it on that enormous off-road chassis he has in "beyond thunderdome". |
◊ 2012-12-19 11:35 |
This awesome iconic car is going to make a return in Mad Max Fyry Road but I don't think that you are going to like the new look Link to "www.madmaxmovies.com" |

It is not the original Interceptor as you have shown here, CRAFT372. |
◊ 2013-01-03 00:27 |
It's not the Interceptor, period. The Interceptor is the yellow sedan he drives in the first movie. This is the Prusuit Special they give him to keep him on the force. |

Maybe, it only fair that only Germans should retain ownership of K70? |

The XB with windscreen wipers and Tinted Laminated front screens the original Hardtop. The one without windscreen wipers and toughened front screens the Hardtop that gets distroyed |

Can someone please replace the main image with this |
◊ 2015-04-29 17:25 |
As it is damaged rather early in the movie, the current main pic represents maybe better the car? |

Except he actually stole it from the MFP towards the end of MM1. You can hear the dispatcher talking about a query/locate on a black Pursuit Special and its unauthorized use by a MFP officer. It's the scene where he's approaching the setup by Bubba, Johnny, and Toecutter. |
