Possibly a T-37, above photo does not show chrome "Le Mans Sport" insignia located at the end of rear quarter near the bumper. |

There was no convertible model From Wikipedia: In 1971, the Tempest nameplate was completely retired and Pontiac promoted the Le Mans nameplate to full-series status to identify all of its intermediate models, which still included the GTO. At the bottom of the line was the Pontiac T-37, previously known as the Tempest, and now expanded to include two- and four-door sedan along with the original hardtop coupe. The GT-37 option was available on both the two-door sedan (pillared coupe) or hardtop coupe -- Last edit: 2015-06-04 06:53:55 |

If it is a 1972 Although Pontiac did not offer a production GTO convertible in 1972, a buyer could order a Le Mans Sport convertible with either of the three GTO engines and other sporty/performance options to create a GTO in all but name. Even the GTO's Endura bumper was offered as an option on Le Mans/Sport models, with "PONTIAC" spelled out on the driver's side grille rather than "GTO." -- Last edit: 2015-06-04 06:54:09 |
