359, On a 359 the intake pipe coming from the air cleaner, comes forward then into the hood, on a 379 it goes through the hood directly behind the air cleaner, most often on a 379 their is a horazontal light bar between the air cleaner and the hood covering the intake pipe. Also the first year of production for 379 was 1987. The 379 replaced 359. |

No, Firebird86 it's a 359 cause of the head lights grill and bumper even look at the cab and the breathers This on looks to be an early one like a 1979-1983 style the newest this truck can be is 1981 But I kinda think it's a 1983 cause it has 2 big breathers and the Peterbilt 359 only can out with 2 big breathers in 1983 and It can't be a 1984 cause the movie was made in 1984 So I am saying they did a old used truck paint job with this truck like in Duels My best guess of the year "could be wrong" it 1983 -- Last edit: 2008-12-23 22:33:50 |

But the Big breathers could have been modified from the small one o the driver side so this should have a year a 1973 Peterbilt 359 "Sorry my mistack" |
