I've added that station-wagon now, but it's going to be hard to ID I think? (they mostly show the girls tongue waggling and harvey enjoying himself.! :) )

I'm in the process of posting replacement pics, can anyone tell me if the ones I have posted so far are Ok? The size I'm using is 960x498, just as it says in the notes.

That's a somewhat misleading note since movies rarely come in 1.92:1 aspect ratio. What that means is that HD pics shouldn't be wider than 960px or taller than 498px, but they can be anything in between, depending on the movie's aspect ratio.

If your HD copy of this movie came with slight black bars on top and bottom which you removed, then its aspect ratio is 1.85:1 and the size of the pics should be 921x498. If the movie had no black bars to begin with, then its aspect ratio is 16:9, in which case the size of the pics should be 885x498.

But you don't need to do that math. Just make sure your pics don't have black bars, then simply check the "Automatic resize/recompress picture if needed" checkbox on the upload page before you upload your pics, and they will be resized automatically.

I would also add that IMDB sometimes will list the proper aspect ratio on the film page, scroll all the way down to the bottom, under Tech Specs.

Got it, thank you both. It is 1.85:1, I'll use that in the future. Thank God the box was checked for the auto-resize. So the admin has to replace them now, right?

If you posted pics in the comments, admins can resize them on the fly when they use them as replacement, and I sincerely hope they do, because your pic for /vehicle_132181-Cadillac-Sedan-DeVille-1989.html is everything an HD upgrade should be, except that it's ever so slightly squished.
