Alexander ◊ 2005-10-18 12:56	sixcyl, you are right. It is a DKW, not the F89 but the F89L. This one letter makes quite a difference (see links below). This is the 'Luxusbus' version (luxury bus) based on the '¾ Tonner DKW-Schnell-Lieferwagen" (express van -- with 20 h.p.!) started in 1949 and built until 1962. From 1955 it was called "DKW Typ 30 Schnellaster" (30 h.p.), from 1956 "DKW 3=6 Schnellaster" (32 h.p.). Look at pages 10 and 11: http://www.dkw-schnellaster.de/prospekt.htm For comparison this is the type F89: http://www.deravant.de/g_avant/f89/ff89.htm And here we have the Lloyd LT 500: http://www.oldievan.de/html/lloyd_6-sitzer.html Ralph is right, it would be very rare in the US, just like the DKW. So, please, give it its own page with the name: DKW F89L 'Luxusbus' (1949)
